The following steps outline our process for admission at Bend Montessori School.
STEP 1: Submit an Application for Admission
In order to be considered for our program, you may submit an Application for Admission and $25 application fee. Applications are accepted in the order that they are received. Once we have received your application and fee, your family is placed on our Wait List. You will receive an invitation to visit the classroom with your child once space becomes available.
STEP 2: Invitation for Family to Visit Classroom
This initial visit is an opportunity for your family to experience our classroom as the children do, to explore the Montessori curriculum areas and materials, and to get a feel for the unique learning space. This is a chance to observe how your child interacts with the classroom environment, and also how we specifically interact with your child. After your visit, you will be able to share the language of your experience in our classroom with your child. Who did we meet? What did we see? What activities did you enjoy?
STEP 3: Enrollment Meeting with Directress
If, after your visit, you feel like our Montessori program may be a good fit for your family, you will be contacted for an Enrollment Meeting. This meeting is intended to connect with families, to go over any expectations that you have as parents for your child's educational experience with us, and for us to communicate what you may expect from us during your time in our school community. It is also a time to answer any questions you may have about our programs specifically, or about Montessori education in general.
STEP 4: Acceptance Notification
You will be mailed an acceptance notification letter once your child is accepted into our program. At this time, you will also receive our Family Handbook as well as important forms for us to have on file as we begin our journey with your family. We have enrollment throughout the year, as space is available.

My son loves Bend Montessori. He started Montessori education at 2 1/2 in Portland and we had a good experience. I was worried how the transition to a new school would be, but I shouldn’t have! He immediately bonded with the excellent teachers. The warm, calm and inviting environment is a perfect match for my son. After a really fun vacation recently, he couldn’t wait to get back to school. Thanks Bend Montessori for providing both education and community.
